Jewel Box Financial Services, Inc. (“Jewel Box”), the holding company of Columbus-based Farmers & Merchants Union Bank (“FMUB”), and Ambanc Financial Services, Inc. (“Ambanc”), the holding company of Beaver Dam-based American Bank of Beaver Dam (“American Bank”), have jointly announced that they have entered into an agreement and plan of merger whereby Jewel Box will acquire Ambanc subject to customary shareholder and regulatory approval. Jewel Box will then merge American Bank into FMUB and the surviving bank will operate under the Farmers & Merchants Union Bank name.

The Dodge County Teacher of the Month program, recognizes teachers in Dodge County each month for their exceptional teaching efforts. Recipients of the award are recognized in their school and districts and receive a check to put towards their classroom or supplies.
Home in American Bank's Front Street office, the mission of the Dodge County Toy Bank is to make sure every child in Dodge County has at least one gift to open on Christmas Day.
Necedah area Toys for Tykes collects toys for kids ages 3-17, who may not otherwise receive gifts during the holidays. Gifts are distributed throughout the area, so everyone can enjoy some holiday cheer!
